Faculty of Education, Swami Vivekananda Subharti University under the chiefship of Professor Dr. Sandeep Chaudhary celebrated the Uttar Pradesh Diwas, on 24 January 2022. Dr. Divesh Chaudhary, Assistant professor Department of Physical Education introduce everyone to the importance of this auspicious day and he told us that the Government of Uttar Pradesh celebrates ‘Uttar Pradesh Divas’ on 24 January every year, the day when the erstwhile United Provinces was renamed in 1950. On January 24, 1950, the Governor-General of India passed the United Provinces (Alteration of Name) Order 1950 renaming the United Provinces as Uttar Pradesh. The former Governor of Uttar Pradesh Shri Ram Naik had proposed to celebrate the foundation day of the state as Uttar Pradesh Divas,
During his tenure. Considering his proposal, the Uttar Pradesh Government celebrated ‘UP Divas’, the state’s foundation day, in the year 2018, for the first time. From then onwards, every year on 24th January, the foundation day of the state is celebrated as ‘Uttar Pradesh Divas’. After finishing his lecture Dr. Divesh Chaudhary invited Dr. Anoj Kumar HOD Department of Education, Faculty of Education and Dr. Anoj enlightened us with the glory of the State of Uttar Pradesh and its contribution to Freedom. Dr. Anoj remembered the various movement that started from Meerut and which had great importance and contribution to Freedom. A vote of thanks was given by Dr. Divesh Chaudhary at the end.
