A Step Towards Environment Protection At Swami Vivekanand Subharti University

A ‘Tree Plantation’ program was held at the Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, with the objective of Environment Protection. The program was held under the supervision of our University’s founder Dr. Mukti Bhatnagar.
 
There is a huge importance of trees, such as purifying the air, act as natural resources, trees maintain the ecological balance perfectly, prevent soil erosion, used in medicines, they are habitats for many species, trees provide nutrients to the soil, etc. 
 
Trees were planted at “Akshayavat Nursery” near the Dental Department by the efforts of Manager Horticulture – Retired District Horticulture Officer, Mr. AC Pathak.
During the drive, many plants like chrysanthemum, marigold, flax, Calendula, Dogflower, Gazinea, Dimorphic, Elizam, Dahlia, Harbin, Salvia and Ice plants, etc.

were planted on grounds.

Mainly Bougainvillea in four different colours, Cannair in yellow and white colour, Eklifa in red and green colour, Duranta Golden, Dressina and Signonium plant are available.
 
We contribute our bit to the Go clean Go green initiative. As it is our responsibility to contribute our bit in keeping our city and campus clean and beautiful.”
Retired District Horticulture Officer Mr. AC Pathak further said, “. With a motive to let the young students learn about the importance of planting, we did a plantation drive in the University.

This will remain as a lifetime memory with the scholars ”.
