Report on Alumni Meet of Department of Library and Information Sciences
Alumni Meet is a gathering of passed out students of college and it is a place where the college feels proud of seeing its successful alumni. The meet also creates a platform to identify the c most distinguished alumni.
Raja Kunwar Singh Department of Library and Information Science organized Alumni Meet-2021 on dated 23 October 2021. All the alumni were welcomed by the present students of the department. During their meet, the alumni’s shared their experience in the outside world.
On this occasion, a lecture on “Career Counselling” was delivered by Dr. Sudhir Tyagi, Head. He gave a brief introduction about the various opportunities and scope in the field of library & information science. He also suggests varied ways that how to choose a career on capabilities and potential. Dr. Javed Khan, Associate Professor talked about how to focus on the chosen career and what are the efforts to be put into achieving their goal. Dr. Sapna Sharma, Assistant Professor, motivated the students to be confident and companionable. She also said that students should hard work, time management and focus on the target. Dr. Alpana, Assistant Professor, emphasized that career decision is one of the most significant decisions in life and therefore it must not be taken under any compulsion and peer pressure.
A total of 19 alumni were present and students were very happy to meet their alumni. All the students were motivated and got to know about various opportunities after completing their course. It was a very informative and knowledgeable day for the students. All the Alumni were feeling happy to come to their parental institution.
