“Amrit Kalash Yatra” under the
“Meri Maati, Mera Desh” Campaign

A massive “Amrit Kalash Yatra’ under the “Meri Maati, Mera Desh “campaign was organised by the NSS wing of the Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut with full fervour and respect. The National level programme is initiated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under the Meri Mati Mera Desh’,(MMMD) campaign  “Amrit Kalash Yatra” was organized by National Service Scheme (NSS) of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University under which all volunteers of the four unites and other college students became the part of this prestigious Kalash Yatra.

In the Kalash Yatra students and faculties of all the departments were present. They were arranged in four units having 100 students in each one. The Yatra initiated from the main gate of the University with the hailing of slogans including ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’, ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’, ‘Not me but You’ and many more. Then it turned out in front of the VC Office where the Chief Executive Officer of University Prof.(Dr.) Shalya Raj and the Vice Chancellor  Maj. Gen. (Dr.) G. K .Thapliyal, SM (Retd) and other  dignitaries paid their tributes in the campaign in order to honor the martyred bravehearts of the country.

In her adress Dr Shalya Raj motivated students to participate in more and more activities of national importance. She emphasizes that the subharti University’s main motto is “Rashtra Pratham, Desh Pratham” and the university continuously initiates national importance of programmes from its inception.

In his address Vice Chancellor Maj Gen Dr G.K Thapliyal welcomed the Yatra and said that we have to remember all martyrs of the country and it is the duty of everyone to be aware of it. Dr.Thapliyal said the University is observing all the National campaign and the NSS wing of University is doing it with very well mannered.

The Amrit Kalash Yatra started from Gate no. 2 of University and going through NH 58 then reentered from gate no.3  of the University.  After reaching the Subharti Dental College the Amrit Kalash Yatra reached to the VC office of the university and from there it went through the Chandrashekhar Marg and Bhamashah marg till the destination at INA Shaheed Smarak which is erected at Gate No. 4 of the Swami Vivekanand Subharti University.  During this ceremony the Chief Guest on the occasion Dr. Deshraj, Chairman, netaji subhash chandra bose Chair of the university, administered the “Panch Pran Pledge” to the volunteers. The pledge ceremony was chaired by the Prof.{(Dr.) Vaibhav Goel,  Principal of Subharti Law College and he also addressed the concluding session of Yatra. He said this Kalash Yatra was initiated with a disciplined manner and it should be appreciated by all. He motivated the Volunteers and paid rich tributes to the martyrs.

On the occasion  Prof( Dr.) Subhash Chandra Thaledi,  NSS Programme Coordinator of the University greeted all the volunteers to make the event successful. Dr Thaledi in his vote of thanks said that all colleges  gave their support for this event and he gave thanks to all faculty, programme officers, non teaching staff, proctorial board, security wing of the University. In his address he especially mentioned the names of Programme officers Himanshu Sirohi, Ram Prakash Tiwari, Shivani Bhadauriya, Dharmendra singh for giving their full support and putting efforts to make this Amrit Kalas Yatra a successful.

Yakoob(retd),  Dr Kapil kumar Verma, Director IQAC, Prof. Renu Mavi,Chief Proctor Dr. Shashiraj Teotia,  Dr Sanchit Pradhan, Prof Mukesh  Ruhela, Dr. Shravan Kumar, Prof Ashok Tyagi, Dr Gunjan sharma, Ms Preeti singh, Dr Abhijith KB, Ms Swati Sharma, Pushpendra Rajput, Dr Vishal kumar, Dr Neha Singh, Rahul Kumar, Dr Manoj kumar Tripathi, Dr Durgesh Pundir, Dr Dhananjay Srivastav, Ashish Mishra, Naresh Kumar, Security officer , Prince Chauhan, Kapil Gill, Sanjay Pal, Sanjay Jugran alongwith the more than 400 student volunteers of NSS were also present during the occasion.
