Blood Donation Camp by
NSS Cell Subharti University
In the context of World Blood Donor Day, a blood donation camp was organised by the NSS cell of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University. More than two dozen volunteers donated blood in this camp organised in the blood bank of Subharti Hospital. Volunteers from all four units of NSS of the university participated in it. A total of 31 units of blood were donated in this blood donation camp organised under the leadership of NSS unit one.
Addressing the volunteers present in the blood donation camp, the programme coordinator of NSS of the university, Prof. (Dr.) Subhash Chandra Thaledi said that there is no bigger donation than blood donation. Every healthy person should donate blood so that needy people can be helped. He further said that if the students are healthy then they should gladly come forward for this ideal work because someone’s life can be saved with one drop of your blood.
On this occasion, Medical Superintendent of Blood Bank Dr. Devendra Swaroop expressed his happiness and said that this work of NSS is commendable. This will inspire other people to donate blood. He said that people are still not coming forward to donate blood in adequate quantities. He appealed to the volunteers and said that NSS should come forward for public awareness.
During this, the coordinator of the program Ram Prakash Tiwari said that about 50 willing blood donors had come forward in this camp of NSS, out of which blood was taken from only 31 people after a health test. Other people were not found fit for blood donation due to some health reasons. Chancellor of the University Dr. Stuti Narayan Kakkar, Vice Chancellor Major General (Dr.) G.K. Thapliyal, Chief Executive Officer Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj, Pro VC Dr. Himanshu Airan etc. gave their best wishes for this blood donation camp of NSS.
On this occasion, University’s Program Coordinator Professor Subhash Chandra Thaledi, Program Officer Shivani Bhadoria, Ram Prakash Tiwari along with Teena Soam, Nitesh Kumar Tiwari, Suman Kumar, Kajal, Aafia Mehdi, Rohit Yadav, Ana, Harshita Pandey, Divya Kumari, Vedansh, Kartavya Naman, Mona Bansal, Nitish Bhardwaj, Dr. Divyasha Tyagi, Adarsh Yadav, Anshul, Diksha Kaushik, Avantika Singh, Ujjwal, Harsh Tomar, Dr. Dhiresh, Dr. Abhay Kumar, Armaan, Vijay Malik, Ravikant Sharma, Mamta, Sudesh and Upasana etc. donated blood. Patwari Singh, Anshika, Mohit Kumar, Jaiveer, Anuj, Gaurav,Vijender of blood bank extended their help in successfully conducting the blood donation camp.
