Earth Day is an annual event, celebrated on April 22. This year Faculty of Science celebrated World Earth Day on Dated 22-4-2022, Friday in collaboration with University Environmental Committee, SVS University Meerut. The Theme of this Earth Day was investing in our planet. The programme started with a welcome speech from Prof (Dr.) Mahavir Singh, Dean, Faculty of Science and warmly welcomed the UEC chairperson and also invoked the Divine for the benign grace for the grand success of this seminar. He encourages the faculty members and other participants of the seminar.
UEC Chairperson Prof (Dr) Mukesh Ruhela, wherein he briefed about the objective of organizing the program. He highlighted the activities of shared his views and gave useful tips about environmental conservation. He also briefed about the sayings on conservation of the earth as per Indian culture. He also requested team members to use cotton bags during their travel or shopping in nearby places and by using both sides of the paper, which is a huge initiative towards environment conservation.
The Event Coordinator was Mr. Faheem and Programmes was hosted by Dr. Shashi Bala who welcomed the Dean, Faculty of Science, UEC, Chairperson, all participants at the Faculty and Student column and congratulate the Event Convener and Outdoor Activity National and International Committee (OANIC) In-charge Dr. Shraddha Upadhyay and Member of OANIC and Co-Convenor Dr. Kapil and Mr. Navneet to organizing the event.
The faculties who gave their presentation are Mr. Faheem, Dr. Neeru, Dr. Vipul, Dr. Shashi Bala Etc Students in the student column Powerpoint presentation is given by Mr. Faisal, Mr. Yash, Ms. Khushboo, Ms. Simran, etc. All the participants were give their presentations very well. The OANIC team took a pledge to preserve the earth’s natural resources by changing daily habits and by planting trees and making efforts towards promoting the concept of Cleaner Production and Clean Technology at SVS University as much as possible. The programme concluded with lots of suggestions for the preservation of the earth by team members.
This Earth Day helped us to inspire the young generation to make our planet a better place to live. This event made us work together as a team and develop a healthy relation and respect among ourselves, which is rejoiced by each one of us. The seminar was attended by over 70+ officials, members, students, and research scholars from different departments of the University.
