Educational Trip to Nagla Gusai (Mawana)
Students of B. Sc. Home Science Shaheed Baba Deep Singh, Department of Home Science visited the village Nagla Gusai, Mawana for a day-long tour on 19th April 2023, to survey the villagers to check and spread awareness about ongoing rural development initiatives taken by both central and state governments respectively.
Students were accompanied by faculty members Ms. Swati Sharma and Dr. Shalu Nehra. First of all, students met the Village Gram Pradhan Ms.
Sarita Singh and the meeting was cordial.
Under the supervision and guidance of Ms.Swati Sharma, students of B.Sc. Home Science surveyed the villagers of Nagla Gusai with pre-prepared printed questionnaires to assess their awareness regarding schemes the government introduced for their benefit. Later on students of B.Sc. Home Science 3rd and 2nd year, presented a flash card-based community awareness program in front of gathered villagers including women, men, and children. The event was successful and students first learned about the village’s ground situation through the survey.
