A 5 days faculty development program was conducted by Faculty of Engineering and Technology of the University in association with School of IT , Auro University and Sigma Institute of Engineering, Vadodara from 5th July 2021 to 9th July 2021 on “Blockchain & Its Applications”.The FDP was attended by more than 40 eminent Academicians, researchers and Industry personnel from across India.Dr.Sharvan Garg, Head of the Department of Computer Science of the Institute provided an explanation and a thorough overview of the technology of Block chain and its applications in today’s world. Among the other speakers of the FDP, Dr Mayank Agarwal and Dr. Sandeep Tanwar from Gurukul kangdi University, Dr Chirag N Modi from NIT, Goa,Dr. Manic Lal Das from Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information & Technology,Gujarat, Dr. Bal Prakash Rao from NIT Warangal , Dr Neeraj Kumar from Thapar University, Dr Mani Madhurkar from IBM Research India, Dr. Devesh C Jinwala from SBNIT, Surat, Dr. Gururaj from BBCE, Myosre and Dr Anshuman from Oulu University Finland.The experts trained the faculty members in various fields that included Internet of things, smart application,Block chain History, ecosystem of block chain, security in internet of things to name a few. The participants engaged in the sessions which were interactive in nature and covered all the aspects associated with Block chain technology in the emerging world of today.Dr. Sanjive Tyagi, Associate professor, Department of Computer Science and IT of the Institute proposed a vote of thanks at the end of the FDP.Dr. Manoj Kapil, Dean and Principal of the Institute appreciated the efforts taken by Dr. Sharvan Garg and Er. Supratim Saha and team for making the event a success.
