Farewell 2024

Farewell 2024 was organized by the first and second year students of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University. This farewell was organized for all the final year students. During this time, enthusiasm was visible among all the students regarding the farewell.

The program was started traditionally by lighting the lamp in front of goddess Saraswati, after that senior students from BJMC and MJMC came and walked the ramp. Moving forward, all the seniors gave their respective performances which included dance, speech, reciting poetry, singing songs, etc. Anushka, Apoorva, Anand, Sugandhi, Tina, Suman and Vansh from first year and Vishesh, Harshul, Arpit and Bharti from second year  showcased their art for their seniors. Amitabh Anand, a student from first year MJMC also recited the lines of the song ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’ as a tribute to his seniors.

During this program, Prof. (Dr.) S.C. Thaledi, Head of the Department, extended his best wishes to all the students and gave them his blessings. He further explained to the students that this is not the end of your life, you all still have a lot to achieve in your life.

In this series, Prof. Ashok Tyagi, while sharing his experience with the students, inspired them to work hard in the future and said that no matter how high they go in life, they should always respect their parents and teachers because of them only you will reach that point tomorrow.

Aman Sharma, a final year student, while reliving his memories, told how he is going to remember every single day of college in his future life. He further said that, I have learned a lot from here which will definitely be useful in my life. I thank all my teachers for making us capable of reaching this stage today, and I assure you that in future also I will live up to the expectations of all of you.

Ramakant Yadav, a final year student also thanked all the teachers and said that this day is very special for him. Even though his college journey has now come to an end, this department and all the teachers here will always remain his source of inspiration in his life. Mohit Prajapati of final year came in this sequence and enthralled everyone with his poetry.

Further, Niket Kumar, Shubham Bhargav and Harsh Basuta shared their memories with everyone, reliving their sweet and sour college memories. Karishma Aziz also shared stories from her college days with everyone. Chhaina Tyagi and Kanak Tripathi also put forward their views in front of everyone.

Jayant Dhaka, second year MJMC student, while sharing his experience said that it is most important to invest from the initial days in life. First of all, it is our responsibility to invest in ourselves and keep our health good. Also, to be successful in our life, it is important that we keep working by keeping our mind focused, disciplined and determined.

Farewell 2024 was hosted by first year students Varsha Raj and Garima Pandey. During this, all the students of BAJMC first and second year and MJMC first year were present along with Assistant Professor – Dr. Preeti Singh, Ram Prakash Tiwari, Madhur Sharma and Shelly Sharma.
