Fine Arts Students Set to Explore Russia on a Fully Funded Educational Exchange

Students from the Textile and Interior Design Department at Nandlal Bose Subharti College of Fine Arts and Fashion Design, part of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, are embarking on an exciting academic journey. Harman Kaur and Arbaaz Ilahi, both in their 2nd year of B.Sc Interior Design, along with Gul Mohammad, a 1st-year B.Sc Textile Design student, have been selected for a fully funded Students’ Week at HSE University in Saint Petersburg, Russia. This prestigious program, running from June 10 to 17, offers an enriching blend of educational and cultural experiences.

During their week-long stay, the students will engage with esteemed professors at HSE University, enhancing their academic knowledge and gaining new insights into design. In addition to their studies, they will explore the vibrant culture and historic landmarks of Saint Petersburg, offering a unique perspective on global design trends.

In a heartwarming send-off event, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Maj Gen (Dr) G.K. Thapliyal, along with key faculty members—Prof. (Dr.) Pintu Mishra, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts; Dr. Neha Singh, Head of the Fashion, Textile, and Interior Design Department; and Dr. Vidhi Khandelwal, Head of the Animation Department—extended their best wishes and shared invaluable advice with the students. Their support underscores the university’s commitment to fostering international academic partnerships and broadening the horizons of its students.

The entire exchange program was coordinated and supported by Naresh Thapliyal, Advisor International Affairs, ensuring a seamless process for the students’ participation.
