GUEST LECTURE ORGANIZED IN
THE INTERIOR DESIGN DEPARTMENT OF FINE ARTS COLLEGE
TOPIC: “THE ROLE OF FENG SHUI IN INTERIOR DESIGN”
Department of Interior Design of Nandlal Bose Subharti College of Fine Arts and Fashion Design recently organised a thought-provoking guest lecture centered around the profound influence of Feng Shui in the realm of interior design on August 14, 2024, at the Amrita Shergil conference hall In which Architect Avni Kaushik ( the resource person & Assistant professor at SDAPC, SGU Ghaziabad ), was welcomed and presented a sapling by Prof( Dr.) Pintu Mishra ( Dean &Principal of Fine Arts College) and Dr. Neha Singh (Head of Department).
The guest lecture, graced by renowned practitioners in the field, shed light on the significance of harmonizing energy forces within living spaces to promote balance, prosperity, and well-being. Attendees were enthralled by the insightful discourse on how Feng Shui principles can transform environments into sanctuaries of positivity and harmony.
Faculty members, students, and guests were treated to a captivating presentation that showcased the practical applications of Feng Shui in modern interior design practices. The event not only stimulated intellectual curiosity but also inspired a newfound appreciation for the fusion of ancient wisdom with contemporary design sensibilities. Additionally, students learned about the different types of lighting used in interiors, providing them with practical knowledge and skills to match the various changes and demands of the interior industry.
As the lecture drew to a close, participants left with a deeper understanding of the transformative power of Feng Shui in shaping environments that nurture both the body and the soul. The Faculty of Interior Design at NBSCFF Ms. Monika Verma and Shailja Shindhay continues its commitment to fostering innovative dialogues and enriching experiences for all passionate about the art of Feng Shui.
The lecture was followed by a question answer round, and detailed discussion with students. Hope all students had clear all their doubts on the topics.
Lecture was ended by the vote of thanks by Ms. Monika Verma (lecturer Interior Department) expressed her gratitude to the Principal of the college, Prof.(Dr) Pintu Mishra for sparing his precious time and his support.
