Major Dhyan Chand Department of Physical Education, Faculty of Education organized a “Guest Lecture on Judo Officiating and Coaching”. Dr. Manju Adhikari, Associate Professor Department of Physical Education was the convenor of this program. This lecture was begun with the address Mr. Arun Vasthav, Assistant Professor Department of Physical Education, FOE. Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar, Dean of Faculty of Education, delivered the welcome address and formerly welcomed the well-known personality of India’s reputed institute in the field of physical education Dr. Reena Walia, Principal, RDPT, Talbehat, U.P.and also highlighted her academic achievements.
Dr. Reena Walia taught the different techniques of Judo with systematic physical training, rules, and regulations related to Judo Officiating and Coaching. She also emphasized women’s empowerment with the help of self-defense and making their career in the particular field by learning the skills and participating in Judo competitions to become self-confident and fearless. Students participated with full enthusiasm and learned all these techniques.
The total no. of participants was 55 including students and faculty members of the Department of Physical Education, FOE. At the end of the guest lecture, Dr. Reena Walia was honored by Dr. R. K. Ghai, Dean of Management college with the Patka.
Dr. Divesh Chaudhary, Associate Professor Department of Physical Education presented the vote of thanks to Dr. Reena Walia for sharing her knowledge and he thanked the Dean, Faculty of Education, Dr. Anoj Kumar, Head of the Education Department, the vice-chancellor of the university, chief executive officer Dr.
Shailya Raj, Convenor, faculty members, technical team. And all the participants for making this guest lecture successful.
