REPORT OF 6TH SARDAR PATEL SUBHARTI MOOT COURT COMPETITION -2021

The Moot Court Association of 2021-2022 organized the 6th Sardar Patel Subharti Moot Court Competition. It was held from 2nd October 2021 to 5th October 2021. Like the previous year, this time also there was individual participation of students. 24 students from the college participated in the competition.

On 2nd Oct 2021

  • Inauguration ceremony followed by Preliminary Rounds that was divided into two sessions and then Quarter Final round took place.
  • The stage management was done by Km. SrishtiBhardwaj
  • The Judges for the Preliminary Rounds were-
  1. Mr. ShobhitGarg
  2. Mrs. Itisha Jain(Lecturer)
  3. Ms. Prerna Chaudhary
  4. Ms. AnjumJahan(Lecturer)
  5. Ms. GauriVerma
  6. Mr. Ravi Saxena
  7. Ms. ShaliniGoel( Lecturer)
  8. Ms. IffatRizvi
  • In the preliminary Round, 12 students presented their arguments from the petitioner’s side and 12 presented from respondents. For the Quarter Finals, only 8 students out of 24 qualified as per the rules.
  • The Judges for the Quarter Final were-
  1. Dr. SarikaTyagi(Associate Professor)
  2. Dr. ReenaBishnoi(Associate Professor)
  3. Dr. AshutoshGarg(Associate Professor)
  4. Dr. Prem Chandra(Associate Professor)
  • In the Quarter Final round, 4 students presented their arguments from the petitioner’s side and 4 presented from respondents. For the Semi- Final Round , 4 students qualified.

On 4th Oct, 2021

  • The Judges for the Semi- Final Round were-
  1. MsReenaBishnoi and Mr. Prem Chandra
  2. Dr. SarikaTyagi and Dr. AshutoshGarg
  • In the Semi- Final Round , 2 students presented their arguments from the petitioner side and 2 presented from respondents. For the Final Round, 2 students qualified .

On 5th Oct ,2021

  • The Judges for the Final Round were-
  1. Honorable Justice Rajesh Chandra ( Director of SPSIL)
  2.  Dr. ReenaBishnoi( Associate Professor)
  • The Memorial Evaluation for the Best Memorial was done by Mrs. Itisha Jain
  • The Winners of the Competition are-

1) Bhawani Kaushalya- 7th Sem- Best Mooter

2) Paramjeet Singh- 3rd Sem- Runner-Up Mooter

3) Anurag Choudhary-7th Sem- Best Memorial

4) AnuragChoudhary- 7th Sem- Best Researcher

  • A team of 14 volunteers worked as Court Masters and helped throughout the Competition-

  • After the final rounds, the Valedictory  Ceremony took place, where all the participants got certificates and trophies as an Appreciation Award. After the Valedictory Ceremony ,Honorable Justice Rajesh Chandra ( Director of SPSIL) guided how mooters can work better on their presentation. He shared some landmark cases that were involved in the Moot Problem.
  • After this, Honorable Dean and Faculty of  Law Dr. Vaibhav Bharti Goel came for the vote of thanks. And in the end Ms. Ana Sisodia( FacultyConvenor of MCA) thanked all the participants , volunteers, respected judges and all faculty members for their support.
  • At the time of Final Round and Valedictory Ceremony – 10 Faculties viewed the Competition and 91 students from all five year marked their presence for the same.
