Orientation Program 2023-24 KVSCOS
A student orientation program was organized under the direction of Prof.RenuMavi, Officiating Dean, Keral Verma Subharti College of Science, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut. This orientation program will run for two days till 8th and 9th August 2023. The newly admitted students in various course programs participated enthusiastically in this program. The program started with lighting the lamp and Saraswati Vandana in front of the idol of MaaSaraswati.
In the orientation programme, the students were made aware of all the necessary information which would be useful during the course of study.
The Orientation program was brought in with a view to uplift the level of the learners to an elevated stage, promote all-round development and exposing learners’ stigmas to minimize and to maximize their learning. Program Coordinator, Dr. ShashirajTeotia, explained the Vision and Mission of the university, said that this university promotes education, service, culture and nationalism as well as the all-round development of the students. Along with this, he shared information about the sports activities organized at the University and College level.
Informing about the Vision and Mission of the College was delivered by Dr. Amit Kumar. He told about the various ongoing course programs and activities organized in the Science College. He told that the Science College defines and reflects both the Vision and Mission of the University at every level by aligning with the motto of University i.
e. Education, Service, Culture and Nationalism.
The information on Disciplinary and Anti-ragging Cells and Grievance redressal setup at the University and College level was given by Dr. Dheer Pal Singh, while Dr. Vishal told about the Career Counseling cell at College and the University level. Dr. Anju Rani told about the various cultural activities organized at the College as well as the University level. Dr.Mohd. Faisal Siddiqui enlighten on the examination system at Internal evaluation and External evaluation system. Dr. Pramod Kumar shared the information related to the efforts made at College and Universitylevel to acquire the job before or on the completion of degree.
All the students were provided with the information of National Service Scheme. The rules and regulation, student’s code of conduct and the facilities provided by the University in human welfare were addressed by Dr. Devendra by clearing their doubts.At the end of program, Dr. Ekta Gupta gave vote of thanks to the program coordinator, all the faculty members and all the volunteers involved in the successful conduction of orientation program with the wishes to all the newly admitted students for their bright future.
On next day,with ‘Fitness Movement’ session at University sports ground, the students were introduced with various sports facilities which students took part with full of energy.Further visit to different departments of the Science College was arranged for students. Students feel excited by interacting with faculty members and during the visit to the various department laboratories. Further visit was schedule to the Central Library, University Wellness Centre. All the students were satisfied with the information received in the orientation program and were happy with the visits to various sites of University.
