AWARENESS PROGRAM ON DIGITAL LITERACY UNDER OUTREACH ACTIVITY ORGANIZED BY COMPUTER SCIENCE & ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, SUBHARTI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND ENGINEERING, SVSU, MEERUT AT VILLAGE-PATHAN PURA MEERUT
The Subharti Institute of Technology and Engineering College planned an outreach activity on 2-11-2021 and was conducted by the department of Computer Science and Engineering on the topic “DIGITAL LITERACY”. The Digital India program itself promises to transform India into a digitally empowered society by focusing on digital literacy, digital resources, and collaborative digital platforms. This also places emphasis on universal digital literacy and the availability of digital resources/services in Indian languages. In the event altogether approximately 65 participants were there, out of which 28 were students and 5 were faculties of SITE, SVSU rest were the participants from the village. Students and Facilities are aware of the residents of Village-Pathanpura about digital literacy, online frauds, and precaution measures to avoid online frauds. The program was successfully conducted in Pathanpura Village, Meerut. The session was very interactive and informative.
The event was organized under the supervision of Dr. Shravan Garg (HOD CSE/IT dept.). The event was arranged in such a way that every student got an opportunity to express their knowledge and spread awareness about digital literacy.
