“ Padyatra”
(“Indian Language Festival”)

The Pahyatra organized for the sensitization of integration of Indian Local languages under  “Indian Language Festival” by the “Intellectual Reading Club” (Students activity Club) of the Department of Education and Department of Physical Education, Faculty of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut on 11/12/2023. Padyatra started at 9:30 am from Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Block to the whole university campus and ended at Mangalya Convention Center, SVSU.

Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Education and Prof. (Dr.) Anoj Raj Head, Department of Education, jointly started the Padh-Yatra with the presence of NCC Cadets with great enthusiasm.

In this program, students of the Education Department and Physical Education Department prepared slogans on display cards depicting the 22 languages specified in the Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution, which included “22 languages with colors of Indian traditions”, “One Country many languages”, Slogans like “Vidya Daddati Vinayam” “Sanvidhan ki aathavi anushui jisme hai baaish bhaaso ki suchi” e.t.c. were the center of attraction. Along with this, faculty members and students of other departments such as Language Department, FOS, Department of Home Science, Department of Fine Art and Department of Management also participated.

Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Education appreciated the efforts of Students Activity Club member’s under the supervision of Dr. Reeba Devi and Miss Sonia Rana (Coordinator of Intellectual Reading Club) for organizing this activity successfully.

The event ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Anoj Raj, Head of the Department of Education to all participants.
