National Coordinating Center, IPC of Pharmacovigilance Program of India under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare organized Pharmacovigilance Week “Encouraging Reporting of ADR by patients” from 17-23 Sep 2022.

Dr. Surabhi Gupta , HOD of Pharmacology, SMC supervised the Pharmacovigilance week  and various sensitization  program  in Subharti Medical College, Subharti Hospital , Kharvel Subharti college of Pharmacy, Shahid Bhagat Singh Urban health and training centre Multan Nagar Meerut and Rural health and training centre village Sarawani for students, nursing students, non teaching staff and general public. Nukkud Natak (Role play) , Poster competition, quiz etc.

Head of Department of community medicine Prof.  Dr. Bhawana Pant, Prof.   Dr. Pawan Parashar, Prof. Dr. Varsha Chaudhary, Dr. Jyoti Singh, Pharmacovigilance associate delivered talks on importance of Pharmacovigilance  and Adverse drug reaction reporting. They  suggested that  we should encourage the treatment from specialists health practitioners and should avoid self medication.

We should be aware  about Adverse Drug Reactions and report by ADR forms, toll free number or mobile app. Prof. Dr.  Sartaj Ahmad, Medical interns,  Mr. Ram Bhajan Sharma,  Mr. Virendra Kumar and Mr.  Mashrul Ahmad  helped in organizing these activities.
