Department of Community Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, and Wellness Center of Swami Vivekananda Subharti University Meerut organized a one-week school health camps program for the students of Darshan Public School, Meerut Cantt under the supervision of the head of the department, Dr. Rahul Bansal.
Prof.( Dr.) Pawan Parashar advises all students and their teachers and guardians about the benefits of healthy dietary habits, use of green vegetables, and fresh fruits, use of milk and dairy products, changing lifestyle, and routine exercise such as cycling, and walking, running, dancing, sports and yoga. He also mentions the problems of mental stress and solution to the mental health problems
Dr. Usha Minhas L.M.O. told girls students about menstrual hygiene. Prof. (Dr.) Sartaj Ahmad told that we should avoid commercial food, junk food, packed snacks, packed juices, junk food, fizzy drinks, flavoured drinks, tobacco consumption, alcohol intake, etc.
Dr. Pratik Kishor PG community medicine, Dr. Sanchita Handa PG ophthalmology, Dr. Dharmendra Singh dental surgeon, and interns Dr. Neeraj Gaur, Dr. Varanda, Dr. Sunanda Agarwal, Dr. Parijaat, Dr. Yelson Ahuja, Dr. Tarunya Rawat, and Dr. Tanya Jain properly examine the students and measured their height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, eye refraction, oral cavity, and general checkup.
School teachers Ms. Pooja Ratan Ms. Pooja Chauhan, Staff nurse Shweta David and Mashrul Ahmad were also present in the school health camp.
