REPORT OF SWAMI VIVEKANAND CHHATRA SANSAD-2021

The Moot Court Association in collaboration with two students of 9th Sem- Aman Bansal and Akanksha Rai organized the Swami Vivekanand Chhatra Sansad – 2021. This Competition was organized under the guidance of Ms.

Afreen Almas (Faculty Convener of MCA) and Ms. Ana Sisodia (Faculty Convener of MCA) It was held from 28th October 2021 to 29th October 2021. This Competition was an Intra- University Competition. 50 students from four colleges participated in this Competition. The topic of the Competition was- Protection of Women from Marital Rape and Farm laws and Other Contemporary Issues.

  • On 28TH October 2021

  1. Inauguration Ceremony followed by Lamp Lighting and Introduction of Judges took place. 
  2. The Stage Management was done by Sristhi Bhardwaj(Co-Convener of MCA)
  3. The Judges for Chhatra Sansad were-

  1. Ms. Maryada Singhal Jain(L.L.M 2nd year)  – Speaker 
  2. Tanupriya Joshi(BA.LLB 7th sem) – Deputy Speaker
  3. Manisha (L.L.M 1st year) – Legal Advisor

  1. The Oath for the Speaker was done by Ms. Ana Sisodia(Faculty Convener of MCA)
  2. The Session for the day started by Discussion hour at 10:30 A.M 
  3. The Discussion Hour started on the topic of Marital Rape.
  4. The students choose the portfolios of Opposition party or Ruling Party
  5. At 12:00 P.M , the Zero hour of 30 minutes took place where the participants discussed the issues apart from the selected agenda.
  6. At 3:30 P.M , The session for day one ended .

  • On 29TH October 2021

  1. The Session for the second day started at 9:30 A.M
  2. The topic for the Discussion Hour was Farm Laws. Every Participant came with full preparation and research .

  3. At 12:30 P.M there was a Question Hour, where any member from the opposition party could ask any question from Ruling Party. The Participants participated with great enthusiasm .
  4. At 1:10 P.M . Approximately 9 bills were presented by the members of Parliament.
  5. The Speaker passed the bill by asking the votes against the bill.
  6. At 2:10 P.M  Session was ended.

  1. After this, at 2:30 p.m , the valedictory ceremony was started with the arrival of Chief Guest – Dr. Shalya Raj .
  2. After distribution of awards Dr. Shalya encouraged and acknowledged students and , Honorable Justice Rajesh Chandra ( Director of SPSIL) guided and appreciated the participants.

    After this, Honorable Dean and Faculty of  Law Dr. Vaibhav Bhartiya Goel showered his blessings by his words of wisdom.

  3. Special Mention –I- Narendra Singh Tomar- Himanshu Panwar(5th sem)
  4. Special Mention-II- Manish Tewari- Devraj Rajput(7th Sem)
  5. Verbal Mention –I – Bhagwant Mann- Ashutosh Sharma(7th sem)
  6. Verbal Mention – II- Amit Shah- Vijay Singh(9th sem)

  • A team of 11 Volunteers were engaged in the Competition

  • And in the end Ms. Ana Sisodia ( Faculty Convenor of MCA) thanked all the participants , volunteers, respected judges and all faculty members for their support.
  • At the time of Valedictory Ceremony – 8 Faculties viewed the Competition and 50 students from all five year marked their presence for the same.
