Workshop on “How to Develop Effective Video Lectures for MOOCs”

WORKSHOP ORGANIZED AT SUBHARTI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND ENGINEERING, SVSU, MEERUT

 

The Swayam and MOOCs Courses Committee, Subharti Institute of Technology & Engineering, SVSU, Meerut, organized a Workshop on “How to Develop Effective Video Lectures for MOOCs” held on 02-09-2022. Faculty from every department broaden their knowledge about how to create effective e-learning content for MOOCs.

The keynote speaker was Ms. VaishaliKikan, who is an expert in developing E-content and E-lectures. She has a YouTube channel named DOPAMINE, with 30,000 subscribers. She has collaborated with some Indian and foreign companies like Great Learning, Numergion Technologies, and Gill Learning Centre, and Tutored Foreign Students at UK Universities and African Universities.

She started with the basics of how to prepare a PPT presentation. She also taught about software and related applications needed in the trade. In addition to this, she also explains all the features of both applications so anybody can use them easily.

She also motivated faculty members to explore more and share video lectures through E-Learning platforms so that students could also clear their doubts after the class. There was an overwhelming response from the faculty members.

The workshop ended with a question and answer session with faculty members, and a vote of thanks was given by Er. Ritu Sharma (A.P, CE). The event was organized within the college campus under the supervision of Dr. Manoj Kapil (Dean, FET  SVSU).
