Mentorship Session on
“Career Guidance, Interview Preparedness and Technology Awareness”
Objective:
To provide career guidance, enhance interview preparedness skills, and create awareness about technological trends among B.Tech. students.
A Mentorship Session on Career Guidance, Interview Preparedness and Technology Awareness was organized by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, SVSU on 25th August 2025 at the MMM Auditorium, FET.
The resource person for the session was Dr. Sudarshan Goswami, Former Director – EIT Faridabad, Technology & Education Leader.
Dr. Goswami interacted with the students and shared his vast professional experience in the field of technology and education. He guided students on how to build a strong career roadmap, the importance of continuous learning, and the skills required for industry readiness. Special emphasis was given on interview preparedness, communication skills, and professional etiquette. He also discussed the role of technology awareness in excelling in the competitive engineering domain.
The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Ashima(Associate Professor ) and Er. Simarpreet Kaur( Assistant Professor), Department of Computer Science & Engineering.
The session was successfully conducted under the guidance and presence of Dr. Shravan Garg, HoD, CSE & IT, FET, SVSU, along with the faculty members Dr. Tarun Kumar, Associate Professor, Computer Science Engineering, Dr.Sanjive Tyagi, Associate. Professor Computer Science Engineering and Mr. Amardeep, Computer Science Engineering Department.
125 students were benefitted from the guest lecture.
Outcome:
The students gained valuable insights on career planning, interview preparation techniques, and the significance of being updated with technological advancements. The session helped in enhancing the confidence and readiness of students for future career challenges.
