The Seminar on “Research Methodology and Writing” was successfully conducted from 12th 2025 at LT-4, 2nd Floor, JPSCP. The program was organized by the Department of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy as a Faculty Development Program and witnessed active participation from 15 faculty members and 50 Students including Inters and PGs. The sessions commenced at 9:00 a.m. onwards and were conducted in a structured and interactive manner.
The seminar was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Danish Nouman, Offi. HOD, Department of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, whose guidance ensured smooth planning and effective execution of the program. The activity was further guided and strongly supported by Prof. (Dr) Amit Kumar Goel, Officiating Principal, JPSCP, whose encouragement emphasized the importance of research culture and academic excellence within the institution.
The sessions were conducted by the Resource Person, Dr. Anirudh Srivastav, In-charge, Publication Cell, SVSU, focused on core aspects of research methodology, including identification of research problems, formulation of objectives and hypotheses, study designs, sampling techniques, and methods of data collection and analysis. Special emphasis was given to ethical issues in research and the importance of adhering to standard research guidelines. The writing component of the seminar highlighted scientific writing skills, structure of a research paper, referencing styles, avoidance of plagiarism, and strategies for publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
Interactive discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and real-time examples made the seminar engaging and informative. Participants actively shared their research experiences and challenges, which were addressed during the sessions. The seminar provided a conductive learning environment that encouraged critical thinking, clarity of concepts, and collaborative learning among the faculty members. Overall, the seminar was well-organized and successfully met its academic objectives.
