National-Level AI Hackathon & International Collaboration
MEERUT, March 28, 2026: The second day of VIGYANOTSAV 2026 at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU) reached a global scale with the inauguration of the National-level AI Hackathon at the Satyajit Ray Auditorium. The event highlighted SVSU’s growing international academic footprint through significant foreign collaborations.
The ceremony was graced by esteemed international guest, Dr. Sergei Koltsov, a renowned Professor and Principal Investigator from the National Research University Higher School of Economics, St. Petersburg. His presence emphasized the importance of global synergy in solving complex technological challenges.
The AI Hackathon, coordinated by Dr. Sharvan Kumar Garg, commenced at the FET, drawing brilliant minds to compete in real-world problem-solving. AI Hackathon, organized in collaboration in Hackshastra will continue for 24 hours and students will provide AI driven solutions for the given problem statements. Simultaneously, the campus buzzed with energy as the Project Exhibition continued for the second day and students showcased their research and innovation skills.
Dr. Shalya Raj, CEO, graced the Project Exhibition with his esteemed presence and encouraged the students. He appreciated all the projects and praised the innovative ideas presented by the participants. He also motivated the students to further develop their projects and transform their ideas into practical solutions.
The day concluded with an overnight session for Hackathon participants, supported by the university’s hospitality team led by Dr. Sweta Bhardwaj and Eklavya Club.
