Yoga Session Organized by the Department of Languages, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences

The Department of Languages, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, organized a Yoga Session on 20 June 2026 on the 3rd Floor of the Management College. The session was conducted by Dr. Aastha Gupta, Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti College & Hospital of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, under the guidance of Dr. Seema Sharma, Professor and Head, Department of Languages, and was coordinated by Dr. Manisha Luthra.

The session commenced with an insightful introduction to the significance of yoga in fostering physical vitality, mental clarity, and emotional well-being. Dr. Aastha Gupta highlighted the transformative benefits of regular yoga practice, emphasizing its role in enhancing flexibility, improving concentration, managing stress, and promoting overall fitness and wellness.

Participants enthusiastically engaged in various yoga asanas, stretching exercises, breathing techniques (Pranayama), and meditation practices under her expert guidance. Dr. Gupta demonstrated different postures and provided personalized instructions to ensure their correct practice. The interactive and hands-on nature of the session encouraged active participation and enabled attendees to gain practical knowledge of yogic techniques and their everyday applications. A total of 15 faculty members and staff from the Department of Languages actively participated in the programme, making the session both vibrant and enriching.

The programme concluded with a discussion on incorporating yoga into daily life and adopting healthy habits for long-term wellness. The session successfully created awareness regarding the importance of physical and mental fitness, enhanced understanding of stress-management techniques, and encouraged participants to make yoga a part of their daily routine. Overall, the event proved highly informative and beneficial, promoting a positive, disciplined, and healthy environment within the Department of Languages.
