An “Academic Deliberation and Faculty Interaction Session” was organized by Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU), Meerut, on Friday, 06 February 2026, at the Conference Hall, Research & Development Cell. The deliberation aimed to foster scientific dialogue, encourage evidence-based research discussions, and explore contemporary challenges and innovations in the fields of agricultural and biological sciences.
The programme formally commenced with the welcome address by Professor R. K. Jain, Dean, Faculty of Science, and SVSU. In his address, Professor Jain highlighted the significance of academic interactions with eminent scientists and emphasized the role of such deliberative platforms in strengthening research, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration among faculty members.
The session was inaugurated by Professor Dr. Vaibhav Goel Bhartiya, Dean – Research & Development, Professor R. K. Jain, SVSU and all dignitaries. A special address was delivered by Professor Dr. Shalya Raj, Chief Executive Officer, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University. He enlightened the gathering on the crucial role of research and innovation in academic institutions and emphasized the need for outcome-oriented, socially relevant, and impactful research. Professor Dr. Shalya Raj also congratulated the organizing committee for successfully conducting the session and appreciated their efforts in inviting a distinguished scientist of national repute. In her inaugural address, he underscored the university’s vision of promoting a robust research ecosystem and reiterated the importance of faculty-driven research initiatives aligned with national and global priorities.
The event was graced by the presence of Professor Dr. K. P. Ramesha, Former Head and Principal Scientist, ICAR–National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Bengaluru, Karnataka, who served as the Keynote Speaker. Renowned for his outstanding contributions to dairy science, animal breeding, and agricultural research, Professor Dr. Ramesha delivered an insightful keynote address sharing his extensive research experience. He discussed emerging challenges in agricultural sciences, sustainable livestock development, and the importance of translational and interdisciplinary research.
The session witnessed the esteemed presence of several senior academicians and administrators, including:

An interactive faculty interaction session followed the keynote address, wherein faculty members engaged in meaningful discussions with the keynote speaker on research methodologies, innovation strategies, funding opportunities, and policy-driven scientific research. A total of 43 participants have attended the session. The deliberations proved highly enriching and motivating for the academic community.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Professor Dr. Vaibhav Goel Bhartiya, Dean – Research & Development, SVSU, who expressed gratitude to the keynote speaker, dignitaries, faculty members, and the organizing team for their valuable contributions towards the success of the event.
The session marked a significant step in reinforcing Swami Vivekanand Subharti University’s commitment towards academic excellence, research innovation, and collaborative learning.
