Under “Family Adoption Programme” of MBBS 2021 as per the National Medical Commission was organized in the village “Ghaat” District Meerut under the supervision of Dr. Rahul Bansal, Head of Deptt. of community medicine, Subharti Medical College Meerut. Teams were divided into three groups and sent to different parts of the village with their allotted faculty members and paramedical staff. Prof.( Dr) Pawan Parashar, Prof (Dr.) Varsha Chaudhary, Prof. (Dr.) Sartaj Ahmad, Mr. Farhat MSW, Mr. Virender MSW, and Mashrul Ahmad MSW were also present in the village.
The students of MBBS 2021 visited the village and interacted with the rural people about their type of family, socio-demographic status and economic status, diet, lifestyle, toilet facility, type of water facility, environmental and sanitation of family and village, etc. These medical students will work in this rural community for three years to bring significant changes in their lifestyles and health.
