“Alumni Lecture on “Internship and CV Building for Law Students”
The Alumni Lecture on “Internship and CV Building for Law Students” was organized by Sardar Patel Subharti Institute of Law with the objective of providing practical guidance to students regarding career development, internship opportunities, and professional presentation in the legal field. The session aimed to familiarize students with the significance of internships and the role of an effective CV in securing professional opportunities.
The session commenced with a formal introduction of the guest speaker by Mr. Anurag Choudhary, Assistant Professor and Member, Alumni Trust. He briefly highlighted her academic background and professional achievements.
After the introduction, Dr. Ana Sisodia began her lecture by explaining the importance of internships in shaping the professional careers of law students. She emphasized that internships provide practical exposure to courtroom procedures, legal drafting, client interaction, research work, and professional ethics, which are essential for becoming competent legal professionals.
The speaker highlighted the importance of building a well-structured and professional CV that reflects academic achievements, internships, research work, moot court participation, certifications, and extracurricular activities. She guided students on how to prepare concise, professional, and attractive CVs tailored specifically for law firms, advocates, corporate offices, and legal organizations.
Dr. Sisodia also discussed the importance of communication skills, networking, consistency, and maintaining professionalism during internships. She encouraged students to actively participate in moot courts, seminars, webinars, legal aid activities, and research publications to strengthen their professional profiles and gain practical experience.
The lecture was highly interactive, where students actively participated and asked questions related to internships, career opportunities, CV formatting, skill development, and opportunities in litigation and corporate sectors. Dr. Ana Sisodia addressed all queries with practical examples and valuable career guidance, making the session highly informative and engaging.
The organizers expressed sincere gratitude to our Hon’ble Director, Justice Rajesh Chandra (Former Justice Allahabad High Court), for his constant guidance and motivation in promoting practical and career-oriented legal education among students.
