CELEBRATION OF LIBRARIAN DAY
Every year the Library Science Department celebrates Librarian day on 12 August 2021 on the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan.
This year the day is celebrated by full participation of faculty members and students. Prof. Sudhir Tyagi started the programme by lamp lighting and commemorating Dr. S.R. Ranganathan on this occasion Dr. Sudhir Tyagi highlighted the contribution of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan in the field of Library Science. He also equipped the students about different books written by him. He also acknowledges his significant contribution for which the Govt. of India honored him with the Padma Shri Award.
On this occasion, all the employees shared their views about the contribution of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan. Students and the other faculty members Dr. Javed Khan, Dr. Sapna Sharma, Rachana Saxena, Aarti Kansal, Ashok Kumar, Subash Kumar, Gyan Prakash, Ashu, Savita, Vikas Kumar, Puneet Mathur and others also participated and shared their views.
