Design Castle 2023
The much awaited event of the year “DESIGN CASTLE 2023” was organized on 27th April 2023 by the Department of Fashion and Textile Design, Nandlal Bose Subharti College of Fine Arts and Fashion Design. In view of that, a 7 days’ modelling workshop was also organized by the college. Renowned choreographer Mr. KapilGauhri groom students regarding ramp walk, how to face camera, and tricks of becoming successful model. Near around 80 students from various departments of the university have participated in the workshop. Ms.Zoya Afroz, Miss India International 2022 & 2021, Femina Miss India 2013 and. Mr.Auchitya Thakur, International Fashion Model were the chief guests of this evening. On this occasion many famous celebrities and models from all over India (Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Gurgaon etc.) graced the event with their presence. Honorable Chancellor mam, Dr.Stuti Narain Kacker, vice chancellor “ Dr. GK Thapliyal , Pro Vice Chancellor Dr.Abhay Shankaregowda , College principal & Dean Dr.Pintu Mishra, Head of the department of Fashion and Textile Design, Dr. Neha Singh and other dignitaries of the university welcomed chief guests and special guests of the evening. All the students were super excited and overwhelmed to get an opportunity to showcase their design collection on the runway. All the Graduation and post-graduation students of Fashion and Textile Design Department participated in the event. There were total of 12 rounds in the fashion show and students from Fashion and Textile Design department of SubhartiUniversity participated in the show as a Designer. The themes wereMarine Life, Leuer Land, Big Fat Indian Wedding, Color Crush, Moonlight, Ocean Sensor, Riyasat, All About the Eyes, Bloomcore Cocktail, Parhelic Circle, Sea Shore, Reveles Of Glisten World. Mr. Vishal Pundir (MFD 2ndyr) and Ms. Jyoti Singh (BFA 2ndyr) backed The Designer Of The Year 2023 (winner) trophy. Ms. AashtaTiwari and Mr. Abhishek Raj from BFA 4rdyr backed the Best Innovative Collection trophy. Km. Shraddha, Ms. Sakshi Singh and km. Indira from MFD 2ndyr backed the Best Silhouettes trophy. Ms. Arushi Jain and Ms. Anu Garg from MFD 2ndyr won the Best Commercial Collection trophy.
