Report on Good Clinical Practice Program on “Pottali Massage”

Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti College and Hospital of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (MASCHNYS), under Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, organized a Good Clinical Practice Program on “Pottali Massage” on 06th June 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the Naturopathy and Yoga IPD, MASCHNYS.

The program was conducted for interns and undergraduate students with the objective of enhancing their practical knowledge and clinical skills regarding the application of Pottali Massage as a therapeutic modality in naturopathy practice.

The resource person for the session was Dr. Manisha Kumari, JR-3, MD Naturopathy, MASCHNYS, who conducted a comprehensive hands-on training session on the procedure and therapeutic applications of Pottali Massage.

During the session, the resource person explained the introduction, indications, contraindications, precautions, and step-by-step procedure of Pottali Massage. Participants were provided with practical demonstrations to help them understand the correct techniques and clinical applications of the therapy.

The instructor demonstrated the proper method of administering the treatment, following which participants were divided into small groups for practical training. Students practiced the therapy under supervision and received individual guidance and feedback to improve their technique and accuracy. Common errors encountered during practice were discussed and corrected to ensure safe and effective clinical application.

The workshop was highly interactive, encouraging participants to ask questions and engage in discussions. The hands-on approach helped students gain confidence in performing the procedure while fostering collaborative learning among peers.

Total No. of participants was 55 students.

The program was coordinated by Dr. Shivaji Chobe, Associate Professor, MASCHNYS, who ensured the smooth organisation and successful execution of the workshop.

The session concluded successfully with active participation and enthusiastic involvement from students. The program proved to be highly informative and beneficial in strengthening practical clinical skills and promoting excellence in naturopathy education.

Overall, the Good Clinical Practice Program on “Pottali Massage” was a valuable academic initiative that contributed significantly to the professional development of interns and undergraduate students.
