Good Governance Day Celebration
The Journalism and Mass Communication Department of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University paid tribute to former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji on his 100th birthday by celebrating Good Governance Day. During this, Journalism and Mass Communication Department Head Prof. (Dr.) Subhash Chandra Thaledi said that Atal Ji was indeed a confluence of journalism, literature and politics, but as Prime Minister, he also taught the country the lesson of good governance. Atal Ji made an outstanding contribution in the field of good governance during his tenure as Prime Minister. Dr. Thaledi said that Atal Ji started his career in journalism and worked for newspapers like Rashtradharma, Panchjanya, Swadesh and Veer Arjun. There was eloquence and emotion in his writing, which attracted his readers. Also, his speech style also mesmerized the listeners and viewers.
While discussing his literary contribution, Assistant Professor Ram Prakash Tiwari said that Atal Ji was a famous poet. His poems reflected the spirit of patriotism, social justice and humanity. His collection of poems “Meri Ikyaawan Kavitayen” is a direct proof of this. On this occasion, journalism teacher Shikeb Majeed described Atal Ji as a great leader in politics. He said that by becoming the Prime Minister of India three times, he took many important decisions, which include Pokhran-II nuclear test and Lahore summit. Other speakers said that Atal Ji was actually the triveni of journalism, literature and politics, who made excellent contribution in these three fields during his lifetime. On this occasion, Shikeb Majeed, Dr. Vishal Kumar, Prince Chauhan, Sanjay Pal, Kapil Gill, Kuldeep Kumar, Bijendra Kumar, Nitesh Kumar Tiwari, Suman Kumar and students were present among the teaching and non-teaching staff of the department. Along with this, everyone paid tribute by offering flowers on the picture of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
