Guest lecture Organized in the Department of Interior Design of Fine Arts College

Nandlal Bose Subharti College of Fine Arts and Fashion Design’s Department of Interior Design recently organised a guest lecture on “Colors and Lighting Theory” on April 13, 2023, at the Amrita Shergill conference hall In which Architect Prerika Garg ( the resource person and co-founder of Tudor Arch Design an architectural firm in Meerut), was welcomed by Prof( Dr.) Pintu Mishra ( Dean &Principal of Fine Arts College) and Dr. Neha Singh (Head of Department).

The guest lecture was  Er. Monika Verma coordinated, with Ar. Reena Roy, under the guidance of Er. Shailja Sindhay, the Coordinator of the Interior Design Department.

Around 28 students attended the lecture, The lecture aimed  was to cover the concept and importance of color and lighting theory, including the use of color based on tint-tones, shades, and color mixing theories. Additionally, students learned about the different types of lighting used in interiors, providing them with practical knowledge and skills to match the various changes and demands of the interior industry.

The lecture was followed by a question answer round, and detailed discussion with students. Hope all students had clear all their doubts on the topics.

The department hopes that the lecture was a fruitful and engaging learning experience for the students, allowing them to gain a deeper understanding of color and lighting theory and its practical application in the interior design industry.
