Guest Lecture on Innovation & Technology-Driven Entrepreneurship Organized at BCSCHM

Bhikaji Cama Subharti College of Hotel Management (BCSCHM), under the aegis of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, organized a guest lecture on “Innovation & Technology-Driven Entrepreneurship: Creating Opportunities in the Modern Hospitality Industry” on 15 September 2026. The programme was conducted at 11:00 AM onwards at the Multipurpose Hall, Ground Floor, BCSCHM.
The guest lecture featured Mr. Yashvasi Dhawan, Director, Royal 9 Hotel, Meerut, as the industry speaker. The session aimed to provide students with industry-oriented insights into innovation, technology-driven entrepreneurship, and emerging opportunities within the modern hospitality sector.
The programme commenced with a welcome note delivered by Mr. Aman Tyagi, BHMCT 2nd Year, who formally welcomed the guest speaker, faculty members, and participating students.
The lecture focused on the evolving dynamics of the hospitality industry and the increasing importance of innovation and technology in creating new business and professional opportunities. Students were introduced to entrepreneurial possibilities and encouraged to understand how technological advancements can contribute to the development of innovative hospitality ventures.
The session provided an opportunity for students to connect classroom learning with contemporary hospitality practices. Through interaction with an industry professional, participants gained exposure to the relationship between technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, and career development in the hospitality sector.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Nitin Gupta, Mr. Saumik Singh, and Mr. Rohil Bhatnagar. The event concluded with a thank-you note acknowledging the support and guidance of Dr. Indraneel Bose, Head, BCSCHM.
The guest lecture enhanced students’ awareness of technology-driven entrepreneurship and encouraged them to consider entrepreneurial opportunities alongside conventional hospitality career pathways. The activity also supported industry–academia interaction, experiential learning, professional development, and entrepreneurship education.
The programme highlighted the importance of continued industry engagement through guest lectures, technology workshops, business-plan competitions, and practical entrepreneurship-focused activities. Such initiatives can help hospitality students develop an understanding of emerging industry trends and innovative business opportunities.
