GUEST LECTURE ON PROFESSIONAL GUEST
Maharani Aurobindo Subharti College & Hospital of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences hosted a guest lecture titled “PROFESSIONAL GUEST” on May 17, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The total number of attendees was 255.
Dr. Jyoti Madhur, the lecturer, acted as the main coordinator for the event.
Dr. Rahul Bansal, a professor from the Department of Community Medicine at Subharti Medical College, was invited as a resource person for this guest lecture.
He discussed that medical professionalism includes a collection of responsibilities, skills, values, qualities, conduct (professional behavior), outcomes (performance), and relationships aimed at fulfilling the Goals of Medicine and fostering Trust and Confidence in both the medical profession and the healthcare system.
The three core principles are:
- The primacy of patient welfare
- Patient autonomy
- Social justice
He also addressed the ten commitments of doctors related to professional ethics and how these behaviors have shifted to result in unprofessional conduct.
Additionally, he explored how professionalism relates to Ayurveda.
