A Faculty Development Program (FDP) on the topic “How to Publish a Paper in Good Journal” was successfully organized by Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti College and Hospital of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences under Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut.
The program was conducted on April 10, 2026, at the Conference Hall, 2nd Floor, MASCHNYS. Its objective was to create awareness and understanding about the process of publishing a research paper in a good and reputed journal.
The resource person was Dr. Shivaji Vilas Chobe, Associate Professor, MASCHNYS, SVSU. He explained the topic in an effective and comprehensive manner, covering key aspects of publishing a research paper in a good journal. These included selecting appropriate journals, understanding the structure of a research paper, and maintaining academic integrity. He also guided participants on avoiding plagiarism, improving writing quality, and following proper referencing styles. Furthermore, he provided valuable insights into the submission process, peer review, and responding to reviewers’ comments. His explanation was clear, informative, and highly beneficial for all participants.
During the session, he explained how to select appropriate journals, highlighting the importance of reputed indexing platforms such as Scopus and Web of Science. Participants were introduced to the standard structure of a research paper, including the Abstract, Introduction, Methodology, Results, and Conclusion.
The session also focused on essential aspects like avoiding plagiarism, developing effective academic writing skills, and proper referencing techniques. In addition, the complete publication process was discussed, including manuscript submission, peer-review procedures, and addressing reviewers comments through revisions.
