On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, Subharti Medical College organized a Khichdi distribution program. Nutritious khichdi prepared with rice, lentils, vegetables, and ghee was distributed among all. Preparing and distributing khichdi on Makar Sankranti is considered शुभ and is associated with good health, prosperity, and gratitude towards nature.
On this occasion, people from all sections participated and consumed the khichdi prasad together, conveying a strong message of equality, unity, and brotherhood. It is noteworthy that distributing khichdi (tahri) to the needy and weaker sections of society on Makar Sankranti has been a long-standing tradition, symbolizing social harmony, selfless service, and sharing happiness.
The program was graced by the presence of Principal Dr. Satyam Khare, Medical Superintendent Dr. Pawan Parashar, Deputy Medical Superintendents Dr. Krishnamurthy and Dr. Ravi Chauhan, Dean Student Welfare Dr. Sartaj Ahmad, Dr. Varsha Chaudhary, Dr. Anjali Khare, along with all Heads of Departments and faculty members.
