Report of Book Distribution Event and Motivational Talk on Leadership for the 21st Century

A book talk on the topic “Leadership for the 21st Century” was held at Swami Vivekananda Subharti University on 25th April 2024. The event featured a motivational session by Mr. Ravi Kant, a renowned Global Corporate Leader and social entrepreneur, and Ex Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Tata Motors, followed by the distribution of his book titled “Leading from the Back to Achieve the Impossible”.He was accompanied by Dr. Suresh, a renowned surgeon from United Kingdom, Dr. Anjali,a renowned gynecologist from United Kingdom and Mrs. Arti, a Senior Director Defense Estate. The event started with Saraswati Vandana performed by students of performing arts department followed by remarks of Major General Dr. G.K Thapliyal, Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Shalya Raj, Chief Executive Officer of the University and Dr. Shravan Kumar Garg, In charge Entrepreneurship Development Cell of the University who welcomed the guest with warm wishes. Mr. Ravi Kant, in his talk, emphasized the importance of adaptive and inclusive leadership in today’s rapidly changing world. He discussed various aspects of leadership, including empathy, innovation, and resilience, highlighting the need for leaders to navigate complexities and inspire others towards a shared vision and also included case studies of various companies and their success stories. The event witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, and staff, with more than 450 attendees from various departments and Institutes of the University. Mr. Ravi Kant engaged the audience through real-life examples and interactive sessions, encouraging them to develop their leadership skills and become catalysts for positive change. Dr. Rohit Ravinder, Trustee of the University and Director, Lokpriya Hospital, Meerut commended the event’s success and thanked Mr. Ravi Kant for his insightful talk. He also expressed gratitude to the speaker for his contribution to leadership literature through his book “Leading from the Back to Achieve the Impossible”. The event was also graced by Dr. Abhay Shankaregowda, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University along with Dr. Krishnamurty, Executive Officer of the University .Additionally, a question and answer session was held by Dr. Sarika Abhay, Member of University Entrepreneurship Development Cell under the guidance of Dr. R.K Ghai , Dean, Management and Commerce Institute of the University where students cleared many of their doubts on the topic of the day. The success of the event was made possible by coordination of Dr. Abhay Shankaregowda, Pro Vice Chancellor of the University and Dr. Pintu Mishra, Dean, Faculty of Fine Arts and Fashion Design and by guidance from all other Deans and HoDs of various Institutes and Departments of the University. Dr. Vidhi Khandelwal was in charge of the stage management team while Dr. Archita Bhatnagar was the Master of Ceremony for the event. The event ended with flying colours by the diligent efforts of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell led by Dr. Shravan Kumar Garg and the coordination of all coordinators of Entrepreneurship Development Cell of various Institutes along with IT Department, Discipline Committee as well as the Marketing and Communication Department, who put forward rigorous efforts to make the event a grand success.Dr. Sharvan Kumar Garg praised the efforts of Er. Vivek Tiwari, Dr. Shashiraj Teotia, Dr. Mukesh Ruhela, Dr. Supratim Saha, Dr. Nikhil Rathi, Er. Juhi Verma , Mr. Jatin for the success of the event.
