NATIONAL PERIODONTIST DAY CELEBRATION
National Periodontist Day is celebrated annually on 23rd February to commemorate the formation of the Indian Society of Periodontology (ISP). The day was celebrated by the Department of Periodontology & Implantology, Subharti Dental College & Hospital. Oral Health Awareness Program was Organized in Lobby of Subharti Dental College & Hospital. The celebration aim to raise awareness about periodontal health and encourage proactive measures for gum care.
The Oral Health Program was initiated by The Principal, SDC&H, Dr. Nikhil Srivastava who explained about the Effects of Periodontal Health on Systemic Health, followed by the Professor & Head of the Department (Dept. of Periodontology& Implantology), Dr. Mayur Kaushik, who demonstrated the Correct Method of Toothbrushing.
Other faculty members also volunteered in the awareness program. Dr. Sameer Ahmed (Professor, Dept. o Periodontology & Implantology) explained the Correct use of Mouthwashes. Dr. Shivi Khattri (Associate Professor, Dept. of Periodontology & Implantology) described about the Correct Dietary & Adverse Habits. And in the end Dr. Mehvish Saleem (Associate Professor, Dept. of Periodontology & Implantology) spread awareness about Ultrasonic Scaling.
The Health Awareness Talks were followed by a DENTAL QUIZ and distribution of Free Medicated Toothpastes to all the patients.
The program was a huge success and witnessed a wholehearted participation from all the patients present.
