NSS volunteers of Subharti participated in the International Conference in Delhi

NSS volunteers of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University participated in the one day conference on International Abhidhamma Diwas and Relevance of Pali organized by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the chief guest at this conference which is organized in collaboration with the International Buddhist Confederation. While Union Tourism and Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju were the special guests. On this occasion, NSS volunteers of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University obtained information about the importance and antiquity of Pali language. They also met and contacted many Pali language scholars and collected detailed information on this subject. During this, a group of about 300 volunteers along with Buddhist monks witnessed this program organized at Vigyan Bhawan. During this, NSS Program Coordinator Prof. (Dr.) S.C. Thaledi said that from time to time the NSS cell provides opportunities for volunteers to participate in such events, so that the volunteers create public awareness as well as get informed about other important topics. Further he added that this participation is made with the help and guidance of Dr.Heero Hito, advisor Samrat Ashok Subharti School of Buddhist Studies. On this occasion, more than 300 NSS volunteers with the names of faculties including Ram Prakash Tiwari, Shikeb Majeed, Shelly Sharma, Dr. Vishal Kumar, Nishant Gaurav, Pankaj Kumar, Dr. Yashpal Sharma, Dr. Ashutosh and Dr. Annu Singh etc. and non-teaching staff Kapil Gill were present.
