Objective: To provide knowledge about cybersecurity threats, safe practices, and the importance of cyber awareness among engineering students.
A “Workshop on Cyber” Security was conducted by the Computer Science Engineering Department of Faculty of Engineering & Technology, SVSU on 26th August, 2025.
Mr. Kartik Bhardwaj, Cybersecurity Master Trainer, NIIT Foundation, Delhi, was the Resource Person.
Mr. Bhardwaj interacted with the students and explained the significance of cybersecurity in today’s digital era, covering various aspects such as online safety, password security, phishing, and cyber hygiene.
The students were guided about safe browsing practices, identifying cyber threats, and protecting personal and organizational data.
After giving a detailed session on cybersecurity concepts, the students were informed about future career opportunities in the cybersecurity domain. The students were benefitted from the guest lecture, and certificates were provided by CISCO.
The session was successfully conducted under the guidance and presence of Dr. Shravan Garg, HoD, CSE & IT, FET, SVSU. The workshop was organized by Dr. Ashima (Associate Professor,CSE) and Er. Simarpreet Kaur (Assistant Professor, CSE).
186 students were benefitted from the guest lecture.
Outcome: The students gained awareness about cybersecurity threats, safe online practices, and career scope in the field of cyber security.
