Yoga Workshop on Common Yoga Protocol for International Day of Yoga 2026

Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti College and Hospital of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (MASCHNYS), under Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, organized a Workshop on Common Yoga Protocol for the faculty members of Keral Verma Subharti College of Science on 16th June 2026 at the 6th Floor Yoga Hall, MASCHNYS.

The workshop was conducted in accordance with the International Day of Yoga 2026 theme, “Yoga for Healthy Aging,” emphasizing the importance of yoga in promoting lifelong health, physical vitality, mental resilience, and overall well-being. The programme aimed to create awareness regarding the role of yoga in maintaining physical fitness, emotional balance, stress management, and enhancing the quality of life. It also sought to familiarize participants with the Common Yoga Protocol prescribed for International Day of Yoga and encourage its regular practice.

The session was conducted and coordinated by Dr. Smriti Goswami, Assistant Professor, MASCHNYS, who served as the Resource Person for the programme. Participants were guided through the various components of the Common Yoga Protocol, including loosening exercises, yoga asanas, pranayama, meditation, and relaxation techniques. The significance of yoga in promoting flexibility, improving concentration, reducing stress, and supporting healthy aging was highlighted throughout the session.

The workshop was graced by Prof. (Dr.) R. K. Jain, Dean, Keral Verma Subharti College of Science, along with faculty members of the college. The participants actively engaged in the practical session and enthusiastically performed the yoga practices under expert guidance. The interactive nature of the workshop enabled participants to gain practical knowledge of yogic techniques and their application in daily life.

A total of 40 faculty members participated in the workshop. The programme provided valuable exposure to the Common Yoga Protocol and reinforced the importance of incorporating yoga into daily routines to achieve better physical health, mental peace, and holistic wellness.

The workshop concluded with an interactive discussion, during which participants shared their experiences and reflections on the session. The programme ended with a message highlighting yoga as a powerful tool for healthy aging, disease prevention, stress reduction, and the promotion of a balanced and productive lifestyle. The event successfully contributed to spreading the message of wellness and holistic health envisioned by the International Day of Yoga 2026 theme.
