Organizes 5-Day Orientation Program for First-Year Students
Nandlal Bose Subharti College of Fine Arts & Fashion Design recently organized a comprehensive five-day orientation program for 85 first-year students. The program, designed to introduce students to the college, its resources, and the wider university, was filled with a variety of educational, cultural, and recreational activities. Each day focused on helping the students engage with their surroundings and peers while providing them with a deeper understanding of their academic journey.
Day 1: Formal Welcome and College Overview
The program kicked off with a formal welcome, where students were introduced to the university’s facilities, rules of discipline, and the examination system. Following the orientation session, students toured the NBSCFF campus to get familiar with their new environment.
Day 2: University and Shahid Smarak Visit, Caricature Workshop
On the second day, the students were taken on a full university tour, allowing them to explore various departments and amenities. They also visited the Shahid Smarak, a war memorial, to honor the sacrifices made for the nation. The day concluded with a creative caricature workshop, where students learned about the art of exaggerating features in portraits.
Day 3: Anatomy Department Visit, Media Outlets, and Bodhi Upvan
The third day involved a visit to the Anatomy Department, where students gained insights into human anatomy, a critical aspect of fine arts studies. This was followed by a visit to Azad Hind Radio and Subharti TV Channel, exposing students to media and communication arts. The day ended with a calming visit to Bodhi Upvan, a serene garden on campus, where students had time for reflection.
Day 4: Cultural Activities
Day four was dedicated to cultural activities, where students showcased their talents in music, dance, and art, promoting creativity and cultural awareness. This interactive session helped the students bond and appreciates different art forms.
Day 5: Sports Activities
The orientation program concluded with a day of sports activities, encouraging physical fitness and teamwork among the new batch of students. Various sporting events were held, providing a fun and energetic end to the orientation week.
