On 13 October, students of Nandalal Bose Subharti College of Fine Arts and Fashion Design visited the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), New Delhi, as part of an educational tour. The visit included 40 students and four faculty members: Dr. Siddharth, Priyanka Singh, Lakshya Kumar, and Diwakar Bisht. The objective of the visit was to familiarise students with the rich traditions of modern Indian art, diverse art styles, and the finer aspects of painting. All first-year students, along with students from the second year, participated in this educational tour.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to observe and understand the artworks of renowned painter Raja Ravi Varma, along with those of other modern and contemporary artists. They explored the themes, colour combinations, techniques, styles, and artistic expressions reflected in various artworks. This experience enabled them to develop a deeper understanding of art beyond classroom learning through direct engagement with original artworks.
On this occasion, Professor Sanjeev Gautam, Director of the National Gallery of Modern Art, encouraged and congratulated the students, motivating them to pursue continuous learning, creative experimentation, and the creation of outstanding works of art.
Through such educational initiatives, the University continues to make efforts to connect students with significant achievements in the world of art and emerging trends in contemporary artistic expression.
