Report on Mental Health Awareness and Career Counselling Programme

On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, the Mental Health Nursing Department of Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College organized a Mental Health Awareness and Career Counselling Programme on 10 October 2026 at Krishna Inter College, Baleni, Baghpat, for school students. The programme was conducted under the esteemed guidance of Principal Ex-Capt. Dr. Geeta Parwanda and delivered by Ms. Shalu Malik, Senior Tutor, Mental Health Nursing Department.

The session focused on creating awareness about the importance of mental health and psychological well-being among students. Students were sensitized to stress management, emotional balance, positive coping strategies, and the importance of seeking professional help when needed. The programme also emphasized reducing the stigma associated with mental health concerns and encouraged students to express their feelings and discuss their problems without hesitation. In addition, the career counselling session guided students in identifying their interests, abilities, and strengths, exploring diverse career opportunities, and setting realistic academic and professional goals.

The programme aimed to promote mental health awareness, encourage positive attitudes towards psychological well-being, and empower students to make informed decisions about their education and future careers. The initiative was successfully conducted, reflecting Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College’s commitment to community outreach, mental health promotion, and the holistic development of young learners.
