NABZZ Report on 6 Days Programme on Yoga for Children

A 6-Day Yoga Programme for Children was successfully organized by Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti College and Hospital of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (MASCHNYS), Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, on the occasion of the 12th International Day of Yoga.

The programme was conducted from 15th June to 20th June 2026 at Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar Shramik Kalyan Kendra,SVSU . The main objective of the programme was to develop healthy habits, improve concentration, enhance flexibility, and promote the overall well-being of children through the regular practice of yoga.

The programme commenced with an introduction highlighting the importance of yoga in the physical, mental, and emotional development of children. During the seven-day session, participants were guided through various yogic practices, including loosening exercises, asanas, pranayama, relaxation techniques, and fun yoga activities designed specifically for children. The sessions emphasized the role of yoga in maintaining good health, improving focus, developing discipline, and fostering a positive attitude.

Objectives of the Programme

  • To develop healthy lifestyle habits among children.
  • To improve concentration and mental focus.
  • To enhance flexibility, balance, and physical fitness.
  • To promote overall physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
  • To create awareness about the importance of yoga in daily life.

A total no. of 26 children are actively participated in the programme. The event was coordinated by Dr. Kh. Geetarani Devi, Assistant Professor (MASCHNYS) and Programme Coordinator, who ensured the smooth and successful conduct of all activities throughout the seven days. The participants showed great enthusiasm and actively engaged in all yoga sessions.

The programme concluded on 20th June 2026. The closing session emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life for maintaining health and well-being. The programme successfully inspired the children to adopt yoga as a regular practice and encouraged them to lead healthier and more balanced lives.
