World Suicide Prevention Day 2025 was observed at Dev Nagree Degree College, Meerut, on 10th September 2025 with the theme “Changing the Narrative on Suicide”. The program was organized in collaboration with district mental health program. And Pl. Sharma district hospital Meerut
5th semester students of Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College, who actively participated in conducting awareness activities.

Activities Conducted
- Guest Lecture: Both Dr. Vibha Nagar and Dr. Vinita delivered insightful lectures highlighting the importance of mental health, early identification of warning signs of suicide, and the role of counseling in prevention. They emphasized breaking the stigma around mental illness and encouraged open conversations.
- Role Play: The nursing students performed a role play demonstrating the causes, warning signs, and preventive measures for suicide. The performance was highly appreciated as it conveyed a strong social message in an engaging way.
- Health Education & Awareness Program: The students conducted interactive sessions with the audience, spreading awareness about stress management, coping strategies, and available support systems.
- Pamphlet Distribution: Informative pamphlets on suicide prevention were prepared and distributed by the 5th semester nursing students to all participants and attendees, ensuring wider community outreach.
