Hindi Diwas Extension Activity Organized under School Training

The Department of Education, Faculty of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut organized an extension activity under school training on 13 September 2025 on the eve of Hindi Diwas. Hindi Diwas, celebrated on 13 September 2025. As part of the activity, tittle Slogan Writing and Poster Making Competitions were conducted in various schools during internship.

The primary objective of the program was to create awareness among students about Hindi language and literature, underline the cultural significance of Hindi, and promote creativity and expression at the school level. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar Sharma and Hon’ble Executive Officer Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj appreciated the efforts of the department in organizing such activities under school training and extended their best wishes for the bright future of all students. Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar, congratulated all the participants and emphasized the importance of always respecting our mother tongue. Head of the Department of Education, Prof. (Dr.) Indira Singh, congratulated the winners and participants. She remarked that such activities not only create awareness among school students but also provide valuable experience to trainee teachers in promoting respect for Hindi language and literature.

Program Highlights

The competitions were organized at:

Adarsh Inter College, Fazalpur, Rotha Road, Meerut

Bal Kalyan Shiv Shiksha Sadan Inter College, Ghat Road, Meerut

In their addresses, the principals of both schools highlighted the importance of Hindi, stating, “Hindi is the language of Hind; as much as we are proud to be Indians, we should equally be proud of communicating in our mother tongue. “The trainee teachers explained the importance of Hindi Diwas to school students and encouraged them to participate enthusiastically. The students prepared posters and slogans with great creativity, expressing their thoughts in impressive ways.

Ravi Ranjan (B.Ed. Third Semester) – Third Place

The program was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. Reeba Devi, Assistant Professor & In charge, Extension Activity and Dr. Reshu Rani, Assistant Professor & In charge, Cultural Committee. Both faculty members also shared inspiring thoughts with the students on the importance of Hindi as a language of culture, identity, and pride.

This extension activity not only provided a platform for creative expression but also instilled a sense of respect and pride for the Hindi language. It further aligned with key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

SDG 4 – Quality Education

SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities/Equal Opportunities

SDG 11 – Sustainable Communities & Culture Preservation

Through this initiative, students received an opportunity to express, think, and create in Hindi, thereby strengthening their linguistic and cultural awareness.
