Academic Visit of Prof. (Dr.) Shehroz Alam Rizvi at Swami Vivekanand Research Chair

An esteemed academic visit by Prof. (Dr.) Shehroz Alam RizviProfessor and ChairmanDepartment of Economics, Aligarh Muslim University, took place at the Swami Vivekanand Research Chair, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, on 24/03/2026. The visit marked a significant step toward strengthening academic collaborationpromoting research activities, and inspiring students.

On his arrival, Prof. Rizvi was warmly welcomed by Prof. (Dr.) Monika MehrotraProfessor and Convener, Swami Vivekanand Research Chair, SVSU. She felicitated the distinguished guest with a memento as a gesture of respect. The event witnessed the gracious presence of faculty membersresearch scholars, and students, creating a highly motivating academic environment.

In his address, Prof. Rizvi appreciated the vibrant academic atmosphereresearch-oriented initiatives, and innovative efforts of the Research Chair. He emphasized that institutions of higher education are not merely centers of knowledge dissemination but also vital pillars of intellectual and societal development. He particularly commended the Chair’s efforts in fostering analytical thinking and a research-oriented mindset among students.

During the visit, Prof. Rizvi also delivered a seminar on the changing dynamics of the global and Indian economic systems, including emerging trends of slowdown in certain sectors. He shared valuable insights on economic challengespolicy reforms, and future prospects, encouraging students and scholars of economics to develop a deeper understanding of contemporary economic scenarios.

Prof. Rizvi shared his thoughts on Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, the National Education Policy 2020, and the contemporary social landscape. He emphasized that education should not only focus on knowledge acquisition but also on developing a global outlookethical values, and social responsibility.
