Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College organized a Health Awareness program on the occasion of World Liver Day on 18 April 2026 at Chhatrapati Shivaji Subharti Hospital (CSSH), Meerut, in the OPD area. The primary objective of the program was to educate patients and their attendants about liver diseases, their prevention, and management.
The program commenced with informative health education sessions aimed at increasing awareness regarding liver health, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis and timely treatment. As part of the initiative, students of GNM 2nd Year and B.Sc. Nursing 4th Semester presented an engaging and informative skit. The role play effectively highlighted key aspects of liver diseases, including causes, symptoms, risk factors, preventive strategies, and management approaches, making the information easily understandable for the audience.
To reinforce the learning, students also prepared and displayed educational charts and distributed pamphlets containing essential information about liver diseases, healthy lifestyle practices, and treatment measures. These visual and written materials played a vital role in effectively communicating important health messages to the beneficiaries.
The program received an encouraging response, with active participation and keen interest shown by patients and their attendants. Overall, the World Liver Day celebration was a meaningful and impactful effort by the Medical-Surgical Nursing Department. Around 30 + participants participated in the program. The program was coordinated by Asst. Lecturer Ms. Sweta Devrari and conducted successfully under the guidance of Dr. Geeta Parwanda, Principal, Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College.
