At the 11th Convocation Ceremony of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, a historic scene of education, research, and achievement was witnessed as the university conferred PhD degrees upon 115 research scholars. The biggest attraction of the ceremony was 80 years old scholar Col. (Dr.) Naresh Kumar Goyal, who was specially honored for his remarkable academic accomplishment. Col. (Dr.) Naresh Kumar Goyal was awarded a PhD for his research topic, “Rag pickers in the Urban Slum of Meerut City: A Sociological study”. He successfully completed his research under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Sartaj Ahmad. This study is considered an important academic contribution highlighting the lives, challenges, and social conditions of underprivileged communities.During the ceremony, the degree was conferred upon him by Hon’ble Governor of Gujarat Acharya Devvrat; Chancellor Dr. Stuti Kakkar; Chief Executive Officer Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj; Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar Sharma and Director General Major General (Dr.) G.K. Thapliyal. Similarly, Ms. Shewli Hira from. West Bengal also successfully completed her research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sartaj Ahmad. Her research topic was “The Impact of Digital Literacy on Women-Run Micro Enterprises in West Bengal: A Sociological Study,” which analyzed the social effects of women’s entrepreneurship and digital awareness. On this proud occasion, university officials and faculty members including Dr. Vaibhav Goyal Bhartiya, Dr. Sudhir Kumar Tyagi, Dr. Taraknath Prasad, Dr. Manoj Kumar Tripathi, Dr. Prabhat Kumar, Dr Reena Bishnoi , Dr. Rahul Bansal, and Dr. Pawan Parashar congratulated the scholars. The 11th Convocation Ceremony of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University delivered the message that age is no barrier to education and research. The awarding of a PhD degree to an 80-year-old scholar became a source of inspiration for the younger generation, while the achievements of other scholars elevated the university’s academic excellence to new heights.
